Health, Safety and Environmental Manager
My client is looking for an experienced Health, Safety and Environmental Manager to join their established team.
This is a very hands on role where you will be instrumental in championing and driving a positive culture for Health, Safety, and Environment within the Organisation
This is a demanding role, which will require self-discipline and good time management skills. The ideal candidate will be able to communicate well at all levels and have excellent reporting skills. The following is a summarised list of minimum requirements:
Taking Health, safety and environmental compliance to the floor
Developing a culture of compliance and competency
EBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health or equivalent.
Environmental Management Qualification .
3 years’ practical HSE management experience, preferably within an Engineering environment
Internal Auditor qualification and suitable experience with HSE audits (IRCA/IOSH approved)
Incident investigation qualification with suitable experience of investigating and root cause analysis
In depth knowledge of OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001 management systems with experience of practical application in the workplace. Experience and knowledge with ISO 9001 and COMHA desirable
Understanding and experience of carrying out risk assessments and COSHH assessments
Experience writing detailed procedures such as safe systems of work and operational instructions
Good standard of IT computer Skills (Word, Excel & Power Point essential)
Attention to detail and well organised
Ability to act upon own initiative, make decisions and prioritise workload.
