Project Manager Facilities, Cambridge based £50-55k + bonus
Due to expansion we are looking to recruit an experienced Project Manager Facilities / Infrastructure to help with the costing, planning and execution of a variety of buildings related projects from refurbishment to new buildings, ensuring full compliance with all relevant legislation.
You will be liaising with local authorities and in house staff along with existing and new suppliers and other regulatory bodies and will be responsible for the direction, management, planning and budgetary control of facilities projects to include Regulatory Planning Applications, Capital Applications and other project controlling activities.
As the Project Manger you will be handling procurement activities in conjunction with the supply chain, tender process, contract negotiation, and maintaining cost controls on active projects and will have regular meetings with internal and external stakeholders and the project team.
You will ensure good health and safety working practices and will be involved in risk assessments and safe systems of work, including permits, compliance with building regs and planning permissions and compliance with contractual arrangements.
So what do we need from you ?
Project, Construction or Mechanical and Electrical Management related training to degree or equivalent level (or demonstrable experience of working at this level) Recognised H&S qualification by examination (minimum IOSH Certificate or equivalent) Recognised Environmental qualification (eg IEMA Associate Certificate) is desirable Recognised Procurement qualification (eg NEC3 or equivalent) is highly desirable Member of a recognised professional body (eg RICS, APM) is highly desirable
Significant Construction or Facilities sector experience at a managerial level including project delivery experience Commercial tendering and NEC contracting is highly desirable Health & Safety and/or Environment management experience is desirable
